Extreme Baja Karts UK are delighted to bring these fantastic Baja trucks to the UK. With their scaled down Trophy Truck body and suspension geometry offered by the EBK1 or EBK5 chassis, these trucks are fast becoming as popular as the massive Trophy Trucks being raced across the US in the off road stadiums and cross country endurance events each year.

Just a couple of years after their conception in the US, there are now more than 500 of these superb machines are being used in competition on the west coast of America, with children starting their off road racing careers from just seven years of age. The youngest start off with a single cylinder engine producing approximately 14hp-16hp, plenty enough to provide some great racing, with thrills and spills a plenty.

As the youngsters progress and gain experience, they move up into a more powerful model, which utilises the EBK5 chassis, designed to use a 250cc motorcycle engine and for the first time, they have to master the use of a clutch and sequential gear changes, skills that will test them further, especially when combined with the added performance the more powerful machine offers.

The EBK5 chassis model has increased suspension track at the front and the drive to the rear axles is completely changed to incorporate the drive from the motorcycle engine. The vehicles do not have a reverse gear, this is to try to eliminate the possibility of drivers reversing back out onto the track into the path of on-coming competitors. If you require a truck for private use the EBK5 chassis can be supplied with a forward/reverse gearbox assembly as required.

Unlike the EBK1 Trucks which we can supply as a kit or a rolling chassis with or without an engine or a finished ready to drive vehicle, we only supply the EBK5 motorcycle engined Trucks, as a kit of parts or as a rolling chassis, you get to select and fit your own engine. This is purely because currently the motorcycle manufacturers do not supply brand new engine and gearbox assemblies for use other than on their own motorcycles. We can of course locate you a suitable engine and offer a full turn key finished vehicle ready to race as required.

The powder coating on the chassis and suspension can be specified on ordering, as can the GRP gel coat colour for the body colour. Wheels and tyres can also be specified and we can advise accordingly based on the terrain you will be hoping to encounter. The seats in all Extreme Baja Karts can be chosen from the superb range of seats from Twisted Stitch and the quick release window nets and safety harness are supplied by Simpson, a huge name in motorsport safety products in the US. The Baja Trucks share the same 14-18 inches of suspension travel, controlled by superb quality King Off Road shocks to soak up the bumps and jumps.
